On July 25th, 2026, the 4th Annual Jenna Wade Memorial Golf Invitational will be held at Northern Lights Golf Complex in memory of Jenna Wade (nee Burgsteden). The goal of this annual tournament is for family and friends to come together, remember and celebrate Jenna's beautiful life, while raising funds for charity in her honor.
At 37 years of age, Jenna was diagnosed with Colon Cancer, while 26 weeks pregnant with her and Tyler's 3rd child. Within a few days, Jenna was flown to Mt Sinai hospital in Toronto, where ten days later, their son Sawyer was born weighing 2.5 lbs. Sawyer spent time in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) at Mt Sinai, Toronto Sick Kids and the Thunder Bay Regional Health Science Center. Four years later, Sawyer is such a healthy, happy little boy.
Despite all the efforts from multiple teams of Doctor's and nurses, as well as Jenna's determination and courage, she lost her battle on May 11th, 2022. Jenna genuinely enjoyed life! Her infectious smile and laugh would light up any room. So much of her beauty can be seen in Cohen, Adri & Sawyer. Her family meant the world to her.
Last July on a beautiful hot sunny day Jenna's family and friends came together for some golf, laughter, food, drinks, music and dancing...so many of Jenna's favorite things. She was surely smiling down on us with her big, beautiful smile.
We want to thank everyone who helped make the 3rd Annual Jenna Wade Memorial Golf Invitational possible, a list too long to name. We are overwhelmed by the generosity of those who donated money, food, services, prizes, and their time the past three years. Because of this, to date, $27,709.00 has been donated to the Sinai Health Foundation in Jenna's memory which was recognized on their donor wall. And Thank you for the continuous love and support shown to the Wade and Burgsteden Families.
Thank you as well to those who have made tax deductible donations to the Jenna Wade Memorial Fund for Cohen, Adri and Sawyer's education.

Anna and Casey, along their brother Caleb and sister Evynne, are looking forward to hosting the 4th Annual Memorial Lemonade Stand this July!
The lemonade stand will once again be set up in the Northern Lights Golf Course parking lot from 8:45am until Noon and open to both golfers and the public! The lemonade stand was started to raise money for the Northern Cancer Fund which supports cancer care, diagnosis, and research for patients in Northwestern Ontario.
The kids will be serving lemonade in exchange for a donation of any amount. At last years tournament the Lemonade Stand raised $2,957.50! Haveman Brothers then matched those donations, bringing the total amount to a whopping $5,915! After the tournament, the kids were once again invited to the TBRHSC and were presented with a "giant cheque" to acknowledge their donation.
With the accumulative donations Jenna's memorial fund surpassing $10,000, we were given the opportunity to upgrade her plaque on the Wall of Hope from a tulip-shaped plaque to a butterfly. Jenna's favourite flower was the tulip and because of this we decided to keep her Memorial plaque as a tulip going forward. This plaque can be viewed in the Cancer Center at the Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Center.
In October of last year the girls were invited to attend the Chairs Reception, which is an event put on by the Health Sciences Foundation to thank and acknowledge all contributing donors. The girls were given the opportunity to set up their lemonade stand at the event! On that evening they greeted guests, served up lemonade, and raised another $613.75, bringing the grand total of the Lemonade Stand donation to $13,488.61 to date!
We are so proud of the kids for their continued efforts and thankful to everyone who has donated over the past three years. We are excited to see everyone again this year and look forward to another beautiful day to honor Aunty Jenna and raise funds for a great cause. Once again, Haveman Brothers will graciously be matching all donations.
